The raw material is fed into a rotating drum (cylinder) that spins around its axis. Inside the drum, special blades (lifters) direct the material along the axis of rotation. As a result, the material moves in a cascading motion, creating intense mixing.
During mixing, friction causes the bonds between the valuable mineral and the barren rock to break down. The material then moves from the disintegration zone to the washing and screening zone.
Essentially, this system combines two beneficiation processes in a single unit: disintegration and classification by the specified particle size.
