Lining of belt press filter drums
Lining (rubberization) of drive drums is the process of covering conveyor drums with a technical plate made of a special type of rubber with a relief on the surface of the technical plate.
Lining of drive drums helps to reduce the cost of repairing drive drums, protects the drums from corrosion and material adhesion, increases traction, and at the same time increases the service life of the conveyor belt.
Of course, these problems can be solved in different ways: re-rubbering the drums, making a cover from the worn conveyor belt (and then mounting it on the drum). However, the required degree of quality and protection can only be achieved by lining (rubberizing) the drive drums.
Conveyor drums can be lined in several ways:
- lining (rubberization) of drive drums by hot vulcanization: in a mold, in an autoclave;
- mechanical lining of drive drums: the technical plastics are fastened with hardware;
- lining (rubberization) of drive drums by cold vulcanization: the technical plate is glued with a special two-component adhesive.
